Achievements of District Government Public Library, Jhalkathi
In the past years, District Government Public Library, Jhalokathi has been conducting multifaceted work with the aim of building a modern, scientific, knowledge-based society. Achievements of District Government Public Library, Jhalokathi here:

 Infrastructure Achievements
 Since 2000, the District Government Public Library, Jhalokathi has been functioning in its own building on an acre of land. There are plans to convert the public library building into a multi-storied building in the future.
2.
 Collection of Study Materials
 The current collection of public libraries is 42,547 books. In FY 2022-23 also 1215 new books have been included. Every year there is a fixed quota for the collection of books by the Directorate of Public Libraries.
3.
 Reader Presence
 Readership of public libraries is quite satisfactory. Readers of all age-religion-profession-classes use public libraries for their necessary books, magazines, internet research. Every day about 100-150 readers come to this office to get services.
4.
 Children's corner
 Keeping in mind the needs of children, there is a well-stocked children's shop with books, furniture and toys suitable for children and teenagers.
5.
 Jobs Corner
 Jobs corner has job and competitive exam help books.
6.
 Liberation War Corner
 Liberation War Corner has books on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Liberation War.
7. Women's Corner There is a separate women's corner for reading women's books.

Competitions based on National Day 5 February "National Library Day", 21 February "Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day", 26 March "Great Independence Day", 17 March "Birthday of Bangandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day", 14 April "Bangla New Year's Day", "National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's Birthday" on 25 May, "Sheikh Russell Day" on 18 October and "Mahan Vijay Divas" on 16 December,Essay, painting, handwriting, book reading, quiz, cycle and rhyme writing competitions are organized on the occasion of  and book based on the day. The exhibition was organized. All these competitions highlight the history, significance and importance of the day related to Bengalis and Bangladesh among the students and public. Which greatly inspires the content of this competition to build the future generation of potential Bangladesh.
9. Private Library Registration District Government Public Library, Jhalokathi is working to increase library services and activities in the district by monitoring and registering private libraries in Jhalokathi district. Strategic, technical support is also provided to private libraries.
10. Information Rights and Use of ICT District Government Public Library, Jhalokathi is working tirelessly to ensure the information rights of the public using information and communication technology.
11. Other Activities District Government Public Library, Jhalokathi is organizing various types of competitions to increase health awareness and social awareness. The district government public library, Jhalokathi, is playing a special role in developing the reading habit of students outside the school.
